       This Deed on the eleventh Day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand
       Seven hundred and sixty six was acknowledged by the within Grantor Thomas
       Sparrow according to the Form of the act of assembly in such case made
       and provided
       acknowledged before me one of his Lordships Justices of the provincial court

       You Thomas Town Do Swear that you will not fear Lucre or Malice Delay any
       person or persons applying to you for any Business belonging to the office you
       officiate in, and that you will not Directly or indirectly ask Demand take
       or receive from or charge to any such person or persons to your own use
       (except your Salary from your Principal) any fee or reward whatsoever for
       any Service you Shall do as clerk of the said office and also that in making
       out the office Fees you will not wittingly or willingly Charge other or
       higher Fees than Limited by the act entituled an act for amending the
       Staple of Tobacco for preventing Frauds in his majestys customs and for
       Limitation of officers Fees

                Know all Men by these Presents that I Frederick Haldimand Esq.r     
       Bregad.r General of His Majestys Forces and Colonel in the 60.th or Royol
       American Regiment of Foot, have and by these presents do constitute ordain
       and appoint and in my place and Stead put Daniel Dulany and David Ross
       of the Province of Maryland Esquire my Lawfull attorney and attorneys
       jointly and severally and the survivor of them hereby giving to the Daniel
       Dulany and David Ross my attorney and attorneys in manner aforesaid full
       Power and Authority to treat agree for dispose of sell convey and assure all
       Lands Tenements and Hereditaments Situate Lying and being in the Province
       of Maryland belonging unto me or whereunto I have any right Title Interest
       or any Demand whatsoever at Law or in Equity and all and every sum or sums of
       Money which shall or may arise and be received upon or under such agreement
       or sale by the said Daniel Dulany and David Ross or either of them to remit transmit
       or pay unto me  And I do also by these presents impower and authorise my
       said Attorney and Attorneys and each of them and the survivor of them to ask
       for demand collect receive and /if necessary/ sue for in any Court of Record in
       the Province of Maryland all sum or sums of Money or other Matter or Things
       due, owing or belonging to me and to do, to Act and Execute every other Matter
       and Thing concerning the Premises which they my said Attorney and Attorneys
       and each of them and the survivor of them shall judge or deem Expedient and
       fitting to be done for me and on my Behalf hereby ratifying and confirming
       whatsoever my said attorney and attorneys or Either of them shall Lawfully
       do Act and Execute in or concerning the premises or any Part thereoff in witness
       whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of June in the
       year of our Lord 1766
