       his Lordships Justices of the provincial court of the province of Maryland personally
       appeared the within named John Brice Junior and acknowledged the
       within indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses within
       mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named John Brice Esquire
       according to the true intent and meaning of the same Deed and the act of
       assembly in such case made and provided

          Received the 4.th June 1766 of John Brice Esquire the sum of Eighteen shillings
       and one penny farthing sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation
       Fine on the within Lands and by virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r
       his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General

             This Indenture Made this Second day of June in the year of our Lord one
       Thousand Seven Hundred and sixty six Between Thomas Sparrow of Annapolis
       in Ann arundel County Silversmith Son and Heir at Law of Thomas Sparrow
       late of the same place deceased on the one Part and Daniel Dulany of Annapolis
       Barrister at Law on the other Part witnesseth that the aforesaid Thomas
       Sparrow for and in consideration of the sum of seventy Pounds current money
       to him in hand paid by the said Daniel Dulany the Receipt whereof is hereby
       acknowledged hath given granted bargained and Sold released & confirmed &
       by these Presents doth give grant bargain & sell release and confirm unto the said
       Daniel Dulany his Heirs & assigns forever to & for his & their proper use and
       Behoof all that tract or Parcel of Land with the Appurtenances in Frederick
       County called Sparrows Request containing one Hundred Acres by Estimation
       and all the Right Title Interest & Estate of the said Thomas Sparrow in and
       to the said whole Tract and every part and parcel thereof In witness whereof
       the sid Thomas Sparrow hath hereto affixed his Hand and seal the Day
       & year aforesaid

         On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus written viz.t

       This Deed on the Day and year within mentioned was acknowledged by the
       within Grantor Thomas Sparrow according to the form of the act of assembly
       in such Case made & provided
