688 Receiv'd of John Grous the Sum of Two Shillings and five pence Sterling it being the Alienation Fine on the within land for the use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General J Brice Record 10.th Day April 1770 8 Sides X.d This Indenture made the Second Day of April in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred Seventy Between Samuel Owings Junior of Baltimore County and Province of Maryland of the one Part and John Renhard Rippliogle of Frederick County and said Province of the other part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Owings Jun.r for and in Consideration of the Sum of Forty six Pounds Currant Money to him in hand paid by the said John Renhard Rippliogle the receipt of which the said Samuel Owings Jun.r doth hereby acknowledge and himself to be therewith fully Satisfied Contented and paid Hath given granted bargained Sold Alien'd Enfeoffed & Confirmed and by these Presents doth give grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said John Renhard Rippliogle his Heirs & Assigns forever all that part of a Tract or Parcel of Land called the Resurvey on Owings Chance Lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid which is Contain'd within the following Metes and Bounds Courses and Distances Viz.t Begining for the first part hereby Bargain'd and sold at the end of the Third Line of a Tract of Land called Landstool and runing North Thirty one East Eighty four perches West one hundred and twenty Perches South Twenty four perches South Twenty two East thirty four Perches North Eighteen East twenty Perches South Eighty one East Fifty eight Perches South thirty one West Thirty Perches and then by a Direct Line to the Begining Containing Thirty Acres of Land Begining for the Second part at the end of the first Line of a Tract of Land called Landstool and runing thence North fifteen West Thirty Perches North Sixty West one hundred Perches South Nine East forty eight Perches South Seventeen West Forty Perches South Sixty seven West forty eight Perches South fourteen West Thirty Perches and then by a Direct Line to the Begining Containing Forty four Acres of Land together with all Rights Proffits Benefitts Priviledges and Advantages Premises and Appurtenances to the said Bargain'd Parcel of Land belonging or in any wise Appertaining To Have and to Hold the said Bargain'd Parcel of Land with the Premises and Appurtenances unto him the said John Renhard Rippliogle his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to his and their only proper use and Behoofe and the said Samuel Owings Jun.r for himself and his Heirs doth hereby Covenant and grant Promise and Agree to and with the said John Renhard Rippliogle his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Samuel Owings Jun.r and his Heirs shall and will Warrant and Defend the said Bargain'd Parcel of Land with the Premises and Appurtenances unto him the said John Renhard Rippliogle his Heirs and Assigns for ever against all and all Manner of Person or Persons Lawfully Claiming or hereafter Lawfully to Claim from by or under him the said Samuel Owings Jun.r or his Heirs or ^by^ their Means or Procurement In Witness whereof the said Samuel Owings Jun.r (hath) |
