684 x.d This Indenture made this twenty sixth day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Seventy Between Thomas Dorsey son of Basil of Ann Arundel County Gentleman Nephew and Heir at Law to Edward Dorsey late of the City of Annapolis Esquire deceased of the one part and William Brown of the said County Cabinet Maker of the other part Witnesseth that whereas the said Edward Dorsey Esquire did in his Lifetime to wit on the Thirtieth day of May in the Year of our Lord Seventeen Hundred and fifty four by his certain writing Obligatory oblidge himself and his Heirs to Convey unto a certain John Ducker and his Heirs in Fee one Moiety or half part of a Tract of a Tract of Land called Rockey point Lying in Ann Arundel County containing Fifty Acres and also one other Moiety or half part of four hundred Acres lying in the said County of Ann Arundel and particularly described by Boundries Lines Courses and Distances in the said Writing Obligatory upon his the said John Duckers paying to the said Edward Dorsey the Sum of one hundred and Eighty Pounds Sterling with Interest from the sixth day of November ensuing the date of the said Writing And Whereas the said John Ducker did pay unto the said Edward Dorsey in his Lifetime or to his Administratrix of the said Edward Dorsey since his Death the aforesaid Sum of Sterling Money and Interest but was prevented from having a Conveyance from the said Edward Dorsey by his Death and since his Death by his Heir at Law being an Infant under the Age of Twenty one Years who is since dead by which means the said Thomas Dorsey hath become Heir at Law as aforesaid And Whereas the said John Ducker did afterwards to wit on the Twelfth day of September one Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty three for and in Consideration of the Sum of Four Hundred and Seventy Pounds ten Shillings and six pence Sterling Money paid him by the aforesaid William Brown convey by Deed of Bargain and Sale to him the said William Brown and his Heirs in Fee all that Tract or Parcel of Land commonly caled Covets Cove lying and being in Ann Arundel County aforesaid on the North side of South River contiguous to a Tract of Land caled Rockey Point Begining at Neale Clarks Eastmos bounded Tree upon the River being a Pine Tree and runing thence East Three Hundred and twenty Perches to a marked Oak by a Valley bounding on the East by a Line drawn South from the said Oak forty perches and by a Line Drawn South South East one Hundred and sixty Perches to a marked Oak by a Branch and by the said Branch runing South East by East into a Creek caled Board Creek one hundred and fifteen perches on the South and by West by the said Creek and River on the North by the said Neal Clarks Land Containing four Hundred and thirty Acres of Land except such part thereof as was heretofore sold and conveyed by Ann Lambeth to Samuel White And also Except such part thereof as was lately Sold and Conveyed by the aforesaid John Ducker to John Burgess and except Likeways such part of the same Tract as Lies to the Northward of a (West) |
