682 of New York and did see and hear the within Named Samuel Stringer sign Seal and Deliver the within Letter of Attorney as his Act and Deed to and for the Uses Intents and Purposes within mentioned and that he this Deponent did Write his Name as a Witness thereto and that the Name John Price indorsed as a Witness to the Execution of the within Letter of Attorney is of this Deponents hand Writing and also that John H Wendell the other Subscribing Witness was present at the Execution of the same as aforesaid and that he did see him sign his Name as a Witness to the same Subscribed and Sworn at Baltimore Town the 10.th day of February 1770 Before J B Bordley John Price Recorded 6.th April 1770 9½ Sides x.d This Indenture made this sixth day of April Anno Domini one Thousand seven hundred and seventy Between Samuel Stringer of the City of Albany in the County of Albany and Province of New York Practitioner in Physick of the one part and Jonathan Pinkney of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Stringer for and in Consideration of the sum of six Hundred and Sixty Pounds Current Money of Maryland by him the said Jonathan Pinkney to him the said Samuel Stringer in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof he the said Samuel Stringer doth hereby acknowledge and thereof & thereform doth acquit Exonerate and Discharge the said Jonathan Pinkney his Heirs Executors and Administrators Hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and Confirmed and he the said Samuel Stringer for himself and his Heirs by these Presents Doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and Confirm unto him the said Jonathan Pinkney his Heirs and Assigns all that Lot of Ground and Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances Situate lying and being in the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland and known and distinguished by the Number Seventy one together with the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every part and Parcel thereof with the Appurtenances And all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Samuel Stringer of in or to the aforesaid Lot of Ground with its Appurtenances To Have and to Hold the said Lot of Ground and Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances to him the said Jonathan Pinkney his Heirs and Assigns for ever ^to the only use & behoof of the said Jonathan Pinkney his Heirs & Assigns for ever^ And the said Samuel Stringer for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant grant and Agree to and with the said Jonathan Pinkney his Heirs and Assigns the said Lot of Ground & Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances from and against him the said Samuel Stringer for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant grant and Agree to and with the said Jonathan Pinkney his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Samuel Stringer his Heirs and Assigns the said Lot of Ground & Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances from and against him the said Samuel Stringer and his Heirs and from and against all and every other person or Persons whatsoever claiming or to Claim from (by) |
