651 Frederick County fs.t Jan.ry 12.th 1770 Then Came Jeremiah Simpson before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court & acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and within mentioned Parcel of Land and Premisses to be the Right and Estate of the within mentioned Benjamin Harris his Heirs and Assigns and Rachel Simpson wife of the said Jeremiah being privately Examined out of the Hearing of her Husband released her Right of Dower in the same and Declared that she did the same Voluntarily and freely without being compelled thereto by any Threats of her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure according to the form of the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided Taken before J Hepburn Reced of Benjamin Harris the Sum of four Shillings and seven pence Sterling being the Alienation Fine on the within Land for use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordon Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General Jn.o Brice 8 sides Recorded 30.th January 1770 This Indenture made the ninth Day of February in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy Between Robert Long of Baltimore County of the one Part and Sarah Brice of Ann Arundel County of the other Part Whereas by Indenture of Lease bearing Date the sixteenth Day of August Seventeen hundred and Sixty five and made or mentioned to be made between Edward Fell of Baltimore County of the one Part and the said Robert Long of the other Part the said Edward Fell for the Consideration therein mentioned did demise grant & to farm Let unto the said Robert Long all that Piece or Parcell of Ground lying and being in Baltimore County aforesaid being parcell of the Land near Baltimore Town on Fells Point lately Laid out by the said Edward Fell into Lots and is distinguished in the Plat of the said Grounds so laid out by the Numbers One hundred and Forty Four and One hundred and Forty five Beginning at a stake standing at the Corner of Lot Number One hundred and Forty three on George Street and runing and bounding on George East One hundred and twenty feet to Ann Street then runing and Bounding on Ann Street North two hundred feet to Lancaster Alley then runing and bounding on Lancaster Alley West One hundred and twenty feet to Lot Number One hundred and Forty three then runing and bounding on Lot Number One hundred and forty three to the Place of Begining Containing one Quarter of an Acre more or less To hold the said demised Premises unto the said Robert Long for the term of Ninety Nine Years under the Yearly rent of four Pounds ten Shillings Sterling Money with Covenants in the same Lease for the renewment thereof forever And Whereas the said Edward Fell by one other Indenture of Lease bearing Date the said Sixteenth Day of August Seventeen hundred and Sixty five for the Consideration therein Mentioned did demise grant and to farm Let unto the said Robert Long All that (Piece) |
