641. On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Endorsed Viz.t London to Wit John Kidd Clerk to M.r Gyles Lone of London Notary Publick Maketh Oath and saith that he was present and did see John Steuart & Duncan Campbell (by the Name and Addition of John Steuart of London Merchant on his own Private Account and Preceeding Partnerships and John Steuart & Duncan Campbell of London Merchants and partners on their joint Account Severally Sign Seal and as their Act and Deed in due form of Law Execute & Deliver the Original Letter of Attorney hereunto annexed bearing Date the Sixteenth day of April One Thousand seven hundred and sixty six for the uses Intents & Purposes therein mentioned and that the Name John Kidd Subscribed as a Witness to the Execution of the said Letter of Attorney is of the proper hand Writing of him this Deponent Sworn the 16.th day of April 1766 Jn.o Kidd Before me Geo Nelson Mayor To all to whom these Presents shall come I George Nelson Esquire Lord Mayor of the City of London in Pursuance of an Act of Parliament made and passed in the fifth year of the Reign of his Late Majesty King George the Second Intituled an Act for the more easy recovery of Debts in his Majesty's Plantations and Colonies in America Do hereby Certify that on the day of the Date hereof Personally came and appeared before me John Kidd the Deponent named in the Affidavit hereunto annexed being a person well known and Worthy of good Credit and by Solemn Oath which the said Deponent then took before me upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God Did Solemnly and Sincerely declare testify and depose to be true the several matters and things mentioned and contained in the said Annexed Affidavit L S In Faith and Testimony whereof I the said Lord Mayor have caused the Seal of the Office of Mayoralty of the said City of London to be hereunto put and Affixed and the Letter of Attorney mentioned and referred to in and by the said Affidavit to be hereunto also annexed Dated in London the sixteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and sixty six Hodges Recorded 18.th Decem.r 1769 8 Sides X.d This Indenture made this 20.th day of December in the Year Seventeen hundred and sixty nine Between Elizabeth Bordley of the City of Annapolis and Province of Maryland of the one part and Wright Mills of the City of Annapolis and province aforesaid Carpenter of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Elizabeth Bordley for and in Consideration of the Rents Covenants and Agreements herein after mentioned Reserved and Contained on the part and behalf of the same Wright Mills his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns to be paid kept and done and performed Hath Demised (Leased) |
