Frederick Lord Baron of Baltimore as by reference being had to the said Commission recorded in the ^Office of the^ Provincial Court may more fully appear Now the Condition of the above Obligation is such that in Case the said John Morton Jordan Esq.r shall from and in Virtue of the Commission aforesaid faithfully honestly justly and Exactly Fulfil discharge perform and Execute his Duty and Duties in the said Commission Directed and Contained and in every respect Obey Execute and Perform such Orders and Rules for his Conduct as he shall from Time to Time receive according to the Purport Meaning Tenour or Effect of the said Commission then the above Obligation to be Void and of none Effect else to be in full force and Virtue Sealed & Delivered John Morton Jordan (seal) in the Presence of Dan.l Dulany (seal) James Brooks Cha Carroll (seal) Reuben Merriwether Recorded 2.d December 1769 X.d Be it known to all Men by these Presents That I M.r George Brown of the City of Edinburgh in that part of Great Britain called Scotland Writer have Nominated Constituted and Appointed as I Hereby Nominate Constitute and Appoint M.r Thomas Lawson at Neabscoe Furnace Pottomack River Virginia to be my True and Lawfull Attorney for the Purposes underwritten Hereby vesting him with my full Power & Commission For me and in my Name & To and for my use & Behoof To take use and Employ all necessary and proper Steps means and Measures for making good and Effectual to me and Establishing and Vesting in my Person or in the person of my said Attorney for my behoof The full Right Possession and power of Recovery of all and Sundry the Lands Estates Hereditaments Plantations Goods Chattels Sums of Money and other Estates & Effects in the Colony of Maryland or Else where in North America, which pertained and belonged or were indebted & owing to the Deceast Colonel David Brown of the Colony of Maryland my Grand Uncle or to the Deceast Alex.r Brown his son or to Thomas Brown son of the said Alexander Brown or to Elizabeth Mary and Margaret Brown his Sisters or to any other of my authors or Predecessors and Left & Devised by them or either of them to Mary Erskine afterwards Mary Brown my Mother Niece of the said Colonel David Brown falling or Descending to me proprio nomine as Heir my Favours by any Deed or Deeds or falling & Descending to me as Heir at Law Executor & only son of and Successor to the said Mary Erskine alias Brown my Mother or by Virtue of any Deed or Deeds Executed by her in my Favour or any other manner of way And particularly without prejudice to the said Generality for Establishing & Vesting in my person or the Person of my said Attorney for my Behoof the full Right Possession & power of Recovery of All & Whole the Three Tracts of Land following Viz.t One Tract of Land called Thornton Originally granted for six Hundred Acres more or Less one other Tract of Land called (Tishimon) |
