626 Then received of M.r Benjamin Gassaway the sum of Forty two pounds & Ten pence Current Money being the Consideration Money within Mentioned Received P me Testes David Lynn Tho Price Samuel Mansell Then came before us two of his Lordships Justices of Frederick County Court the within named Samuel Mansell and Acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises within mentioned to be the right and estate of said Benjamin Gassaway his heirs and Assigns forever at same time Came Susanna the wife of the said Samuel Mansell who being privately Exam^in^ed out of the hearing of her said Husband freely Acknowledged that she gave up all her right and title of Dower unto him said Benjamin Gassaway his heirs and Assigns forever according to the True intent and Meaning of these presents David Lynn Tho Price Maryland Frederick County fs.t I hereby Certifye that David Lynn & Thomas Price Gentlemen LS before whom the above Acknowledgement was taken were at the time of taking the same and Still are two of his Lordships the right Honourable the Lord Proprietary his Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid duly authorized and Assigned and that to all Acknowledgments by them so taken and signed due faith and Creditis and ought to be given as well in justice Court as thereout I Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the publick seal of the County aforesaid this 24.th Day of November 1769 Tho.s Sprigg Clk of Fred.k County November the 28.th 1769 Received of M.r Samuel Mansell the sum of four Shillings Sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within land and by Virtue of a Commission from Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq his said Lordships agent and receiver General 10 sides Recorded 28.th November 1769 J Brice X.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made this twenty fourth of November Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty nine Between William Aldridge of Fredricks of the one Part and Benjamin Gassaway of Ann Arundel County of the other Part Witnesseth that the said William Aldredge for and in Consideration of the sum of Forty Pounds Current Money to him in hand Paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents by the said Benjamin Gassaway the receipts whereof he the said William Aldredge doth hereby Acknowledge and himself theirwith fully Satisfied Contented and Paid and theirof and their from and from every Part and Parcele thereof doth fully Clearly & Absolutely exonerate acquit & Discharge the said Benjamin Gassaway his heirs and Assigns for ever Hath given granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth fully Clearly and (Absolutely) |
