(622) shall and will warrant and forever defend by these Presents In Witness whereof I the said Alexander Warfield have hereunto set my hand and Affixed my seal this thirteenth Day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and sixty nine Signed sealed and Delivered Alex.r Warfield (seal) In the Presence of On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit Jn.o Duckett Tho.s B Hodgkin Received 18.th November 1769 the sum of five shillings sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned I say received P me Witness Jn.o Duckett Tho.s B Hodgkin Alex.r Warfield Nov 13.th 1769 Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Alexander Warfield Party to the within Deed of Gift and acknowledged the same to be his act and Deed and the Land and Premises therein mentioned to be right and and estate of the within named Charles Warfield his son his heirs & assigns forever according to the true intent and meaning of the said Deed and the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided Acknowledged before Geo Steuart Memorandum the words (before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and his heirs and Assigns forever) were interlined before signed Geo Steuart 1769 November 13.th Rece.d of M.r Charles Warfield Nine pence Sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation fine on the within Land and by Virtue of Commission from Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships agent & receiver General 5 sides Recorded 13.th Day of November 1769 J Brice X.d This Indenture made the thirteenth Day of November in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Sixty nine Between Thomas Snowden and Samuel Snowden of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Iron Masters and John Snowden of Anne Arundel County and Province aforesaid Iron Master of the one part and John Aldridge of Frederick County in the said Province Planter of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Samuel & John Snowden for and in Consideration of the sum of Eighteen Pounds fifteen Shillings Sterling money to them in hand Paid (together with the Costs of a Resurvey) by the said John Aldridge on or before the sealing and Delivery hereof the receipt they do hereby Acknowledge and thereof do Acquit release and forever discharge the said John Aldridge his heirs and Assigns and for diverse other good Causes and Considerations have granted bargained sold aliened and Confirmed and by these Presents do grant bargain sell alien & Confirm unto the said John Aldridge his heirs and Assigns forever Part of a tract of Land called Moores Rest being seventy five Acres the said Tract Together with the resurvey thereof being one hundred and fifty Acres Added Beginning at a bounded white Oak being (the) |
