(603) Heirs and Assigns against him the said Charles Allanson Ford his heirs Executors and Administrators and against all & every Person & Persons claiming from by or under him or them shall & will warrant and forever Defend In Witness whereof the said Charles Allanson Ford hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed & Delivered in the presence of us Cha.s Al.n Ford (seal) Walter Hanson Dan Jenifer On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit Received the Day and Year above written of the within named Michael Cresap the sum of Twenty Pounds Sterling being the Consideration within Mentioned Witness Daniel Jenifer Cha.s Al.n Ford Charles County fs.t On the 9.th Day of June 1769 Came Charles Allanson Ford before us the Subscribers two of His Lordships Justices for the County aforesaid and Acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises therein mentioned to be estate and property of the within named Michael Cresap according ^to^ the true intent & meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided Walter Hanson Dan Jenifer Maryland Charles County fs.t I hereby Certifye that Walter Hanson & Daniel Jenifer Gentlemen who signed the within Deed and Acknowledgment was at the time L S of Signing and still are two of his Lordships ^the right Honourable^ the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid Legally Authorised and Assigned to whom full faith & Credit is & ought to be given as well in Justice Court & thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Affixed the Publick Seale of the County aforesaid this Tenth Day of June Anno Dom 1769 Phil V.d Fendall Clk Cha.s County Court 1769 October 10.th Rec.d of M.r Michael Cresap the sum of Four Shillings Sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being Alienation Fine on the within Land and by Virtue of a Comission from Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer Esq.r his Lordships agent & receiver General Jn.o Brice Recorded the 10.th Day of October 1769 Ex.d This Indenture made this twenty Seventh Day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred & Sixty nine Between William Cumming of the County of Chowan in the Province of North Carolina of the one Part and Alexander Cumming of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland of the Other Part Mariner Whereas William Cumming late of the City of Annapolis Esq.r in his Lifetime did by his deed of Bargain and Sale Grant Bargain and Sell Transfer & make over all & Singular his Several Estates Boath Real & Personal in trust for the Considerations and Purposes mentioned in the said Deed which said Deed remains enroled amongst (the) |
