Ex.d
       This Indenture made this twenty third Day of May in the Year of our
       Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Nine between Jesse Doyne of Charles
9½  County in the province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and Thomas Ringgold
       of Chester Town in Kent County in the province af.d Merchant of the Other
       part Whereas a common recovery was had and Suffered in this present provincial
       Court held for the province of Maryland of a Tract of Land Called
       Timnah Serah Scituate lying and being in Dorchester County in the province
       af.d on the South Side of Great Choptank in the Trushes Containing by patent
       one thousand acres be the Same More or less Originally granted to a Certain
       Joshua Doyne wherein the said Thomas Ringgold was Demandant Now this Indenture
       witnesseth that the af.d Jesse Doyne for and in Consideration of the premisses
       and also for and in Consideration of the Sum of Six hundred pounds Current
       Money of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Ringgold
       the receit whereof the said Jesse Doyne doth hereby acknowledge hath
       bargained Sold and conveyed released Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these
       presents doth bargain Sell and Convey release Enfeoff and Confirm unto the
       said Thomas Ringgold and to his heir and Assigns forever all the af.d Tract
       of Land called Timnah Sarah Containing One thousand acres by patent be
       the same more or less together with all Timber Trees waters ways Buildings
       Improvements profits & advantages whatsoever to the said Tract of
       Land belonging or in any wise thereto Appurtaining and the Reversion &
       Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents and Services of the premisses
       and all the Estate Right Title Interest Property Claim & Demand whatsoever
       both in Law & Equity which the said Jesse Doyne now hath or may
       or can Claim off in and to the hereby bargained and Sold Land & premisses
       with the appurtenances and every & parcel thereof To have and to hold
       the said hereby bargained and Sold Land & premisses with the appurtenances
       unto the said Thomas Ringgold and to his heirs and Assigns to the only proper
       use & behooff of the said Thomas Ringgold & his heirs and assigns forever
       and the af.d Jessey Doyne doth hereby declare that the af.d recovery was
       had & Suffered to the Only Use and Behooffe of the said Thomas Ringgold
       & his heirs and Assigns and to no Other Use intent or purpose nor to the use
       of any Other person whatever and further the said Jesse Doyne being the
       Great Grandson of the Patentee of the af.d Tract of Land and both Heir at
       Law & Devisee thereof & thereto doth hereby Covenant promise & Agree
       both for himself & his Heirs to and with the said Thomas Ringgold & his
       heirs and assigns that he the said Jesse Doyne hath now in himself Good
       Right full power and lawful authority to grant bargain & Sell the Land
       & premisses af.d to the said Thomas Ringgold in Manner af.d and that
