(582) Ex.d This Indenture made the twentieth day of February in the Ninth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the 12 sides Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty nine Between Edmund Jennings of Lincolne Inn in the County of Middlesex in the Kingdom of Great Britain Esquire of the one part and HIs Excellency Robert Eden Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the province of Maryland in North America of the other part Witnesseth that in Consideration of one thousand pounds of Good and lawfull Money of Great Britain to the said Edmund Jennings in hand paid by the said Robert Eden at or before the ensealing and Delivery of these presents as and for the absolute purchase of the Fee Simple and Inheritance of the Messuage Tenement and appurtenances herein after mentioned the receipt whereof the said Edmund Jenings doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part thereof doth Acquit Release and discharge the said Robert Eden his Heirs Executors and Admors and every of them forever by these presents He the said Edmund Jennings Hath Granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents Doth Grant Bargain and Sell unto the said Robert Eden his heirs and Assigns forever All that Messuage or Capital Mansion house with the Garden Yards coach houses Stables & Outhouses thereunto belonging and therewith enjoyed as the same now is or was late in the Tenure or Occupation of his Excellency Horatio Sharpe as Tenant to the said Edmund Jennings Situate lying and being in the City of Annapolis in the province of Maryland aforesaid and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders Rents Issues and profits of all and Singular the said premises and every part and parcel thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest trust benefit power Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Edmund Jennings of into or out of the said premises every or any part or parcel thereof To have and to hold the said Messuage or Capital Mansion house Garden Yards Coach houses Stables outhouses hereditaments and premises herein before mentioned and hereby Granted bargained and Sold or meant mentioned or intended so to be with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Robert Eden his heirs and Assigns forever To the Use and Behoof of the said Robert Eden his heirs and Assigns forever And the said Edmund Jennings hath Constituted Ordained and Appointed and in his place and Stead put and by these presents Doth Ordain Constitute and Appoint and in his Stead and place put the Honble John Beale Bordley of the Town of Baltimore Esquire Philip Thomas Lee and John Brice of the City of (Annapolis) |
