(581) interchangeably Set their Hands and Seals the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed & Delivered John Wilmot (Seal) in the presence of Nich Maccubbin (Seal) Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer James Dick (Seal) Jn.o Johnson On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit Received the day and year within Mentioned of the within named Nicholas Maccubbin and James Dick the within Sum of Five Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain it being the Consideration Money within Mentioned as Witness my Hand John Wilmot Witness John Johnson On the fourteenth Day of June Seventeen hundred and Sixty Nine Came the within named John Wilmot before me the Subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and did Acknowledge the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the Lands & Premises and Negroes therein bargained Sold aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed to be the Right Title Interest and Estate of the within named Nicholas Maccubbin and James Dick their heirs and assigns forever agreeable to the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided recorded the 14.th of June 1769 Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Vide Wifes Acknowledgment page 589 Ex.d Be it Known that I Charles Hammond Jun.r Executor of the last will and Testament of Philip Hammond Esq.r late deceased for and in Consideration of the Principal 2½ and Interest Monies due on the within Deed and the Cost and Charge of writing and recording the same amounting together to fifty three pounds Seventeen Shillings and Six pence Sterling being well and truly paid and Satisfied unto me by the within named John Weyman for the use and Benefit of said Philips Estate and the Claimants under his will I the said Charles have remised released and quit Claimed & do hereby remise release and quit Claim unto the within named John Weyman his Executors Administrators and Assigns as well the within Bill of Sale as also all my right Title Interest and Claim of in & under the same to the Negroes and Slaves therein mentioned who contained To have and to hold the said Negroes and Slaves unto him the said John Weylan his Executors Administrators and Assigns in as full and Ample a Manner from and against me the said Charles Hammond my Executors and Administrators as if this said Bill of Sale had never been executed unto me In Witness whereof I the said Charles Hammond Jun.r Executor have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal this fifteenth Day of June Anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Nine Ch.s Hammon Jun.r Signed Sealed and delivered Executor of Philip (Seal) in the Presence of Baruch Williams recorded 15.th day of June 1769 |
