(552) within Land and by Virtue of a Commission from Daniel of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & Receiver General J Brice recorded the 19.th of May 1769 Ex.d This Indenture made the twentieth Day of May in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and Sixty nine Between Richard Linthicum of Ann Arundel County in the province of Maryland Planter of the one Part and Ralph Basil of the County and Province aforesaid Planter of the Other part Witnesseth that the said Richard Linthicum for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred pounds current Money to him the said Richard Linthicum in Hand paid by the said Ralph Basil the Receipt whereof the said Richard Linthicum doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith to be fully satisfied hath sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and Confirm unto the said Ralph Basil all that Tract or parcel of Land called Hickory hills and Franklin's Enlargement lying and being in the County aforesaid According to the Metes and Bounds expressed in a Deed of Conveyance of the said Tract of Land from Richard Williams Sen.r to Elizabeth Linthicum Mother of the said Richard Linthicum bearing Date the sixth Day of October seventeen hundred and fifty nine and recorded in the Records of Ann Arundel County Court in Liber B B N.o 2 Folio 295 and 296 Referrence being thereunto had may more fully and at large appear) and containing by Estimation fifty seven Acres Together with all Rights Profits Benefits and Privileges thereunto belonging To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its Appertenances unto him the said Ralph Basil his Heirs and Assigns forever to the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said Ralph Basil his Heirs and Assigns and all the Right Estate property Claim and Demand of him the said Richard Linthicum and his Heirs of in and to the said Tract or Parcel of Land with the appurtenances and the said Richard Linthicum for himself his Heirs Executors & Administrators doth covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Ralph Basil his heirs and Assigns that he the said Richard Linthicum the said Tract or Parcel of Land with the Appertenances to him the said Ralph Basil his Heirs and Assigns against all Persons claiming the same from by or under him the said Richard Linthicum and his Heirs or any of them shall and will forever warrant and defend In Witness whereof the said Richard Linthicum hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered Richard Linthicum (Seal) in the presence of (the words with its Appertenances being first interlined between the 12.th & 13.th Lines Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Tho.s Ijams On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit May the 20.th 1769 Received of Ralph Basil the Sum of One hundred Pounds current Money being the Consideration of the within Deed Witness Baruch Williams I say received Richard Linthicum Ann Arundel County sc.t On the 20.th Day of May Anno Dom 1769 Came the within named Richard Linthicum before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and Acknowledged the within Instruement of writeing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Property of the within Mentioned Ralph Basil according to the true Intent and Meaning of the within Deed recorded the 20.th Day of May 1769 Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Vide alienation fine Recorded in folio 589 Ex.d This Indenture made y.e 13.th Day of November in y.e thirteenth yeare of s.o Dominion of S.o R.tt Hono.ble Charles &c.a Annoq.r Dom 1688 Between William Coale of Ann 8 sides And.ll Cot.y Junje.r Plt.r of the one Pat.r & Joseph Williams of the same Cot.y Plt.r of the other Pat.r Witnesseth that the said William Coale for a valuable Consideracon to him in hand p.d & delivered by the said Jo.s Williams at or before y.e ensealing & delivery of these p.rsents the receipt w.rof the said William Coale doth hereby Acknowledge & therewith to be fully satisfied & paid and thereof & every Pat.r & pr.sell thereof the said William Coale doth for himselfe his Heirs Ex.rs Admr.s and assignes acquitt (&) |
