548 You Four or three of You whereof you the said Rowles Scudamore or Henry Hobhouse to be one to Proceed according to the said Statutes and all Other Statutes in Force Concerning Bankrupts not only Concerning the said Bankrupts their Bodys Lands Tenements freehold and Customary Goods debts and other things whatsoever but also Concerning all Other Persons who by Concealment Claim ^or^ Otherwise do or shall Offend touching of the Premises or any part thereof Contrary to the true Intent and meaning of the same Statutes and to do and execute all and every thing and things whatsoever as well for and towards satisfaction and Payment of the said Creditors as towards and for all Other Intents and Purposes according to the Ordinance and provision of the same Statutes Willing and Commanding you Four or three of you whereof you the said Rowles Scudamore or Henry Hobhouse to be one to Proceed to the Execution and Accomplishment of this our Commission according to the true Intent and Meaning of the same Statutes with all Diligence and Effect Witness our self at Westminster the fifth Day of May in the Eighth Year of our Reign T Yorke Ex.d D B (B) Naggs Head Tavern in Wine Street Bristol August 11.th 1769 Memorandum at a Meeting of the Creditors of Samuel Sedgley William Hilhouse and William Randolph the persons against whom this Commission hath been Awarded at the Place Day and Year above Mentioned Pursuant to Notice in the London Gazette for the Choice of Assignees of the Estate and Effects of the said Samuel Sedgley William Hilhouse and William Randolph we whose Names are hereunder written being the Major Part in Value as well of the Joint as of the respective Seperate Creditors of the said Samuel Sedgley William Hilhouse and William Randolph whose respective Debts do amount to Ten Pounds and Upwards who have duly Proved our debts under the said Commission and Intitled to Vote in Choice of such Assignees in Our Own Rights ^or^ as Persons duly Authorized by Creditors absent Do hereby Elect Nominate and Choose Samuel Peach Isaac Elton the Younger) James Hill William Stevenson and William James all of the City of Bristol Merchants to be Assignees as well of the Joint as of the respective Seperate Estates and Effects of the said Samuel Sedgley William Hilhouse and William Randolph And we do hereby Desire the Major Part of the Commissioners in the R Scudmore said Commission named and Authorized to Execute proper Assignments as well of the said Bankrupts Joint as of their respective Seperate Estate Hen Hobhouse and Effects to them Phinehas Walls, Tho.s Harris, Edw.d Nensuille, W.m Arnold Th.o Griffiths, W.m James, Thomas Owen, John Madox, Matt.w Cowper, Jo.s G Tyndale Troughton, Jn.o Stratton, James Morgan, for Gresley Self & Wraxall, Will.m Blake, Samuel Peach Will Eagles, James Hill, Jn Vaughan J.r Th.o Symons Paul Farr for Self &c.a Hen Hobhouse Jo.s Loscome for Self & B W C.o John Powell, Isaac Vines, Ge.o Fisher, Thomas Whitehead, Will Jones John Edye for 8 & Self, R Hall, We do hereby Accept the said Trust and promise to Execute Counterparts of the Several Assignments to be made by the said Acting Commissioners as well of the said Bankrupts Joint as of their respective Seperate Estates and Effects Samuel Peach Isaac Elton Jun.r, James Hill, W.m Stevenson, W.m James City of Bristol fs.t Daniel Burges of the City of Bristol Gentleman maketh Oath that on the Fifth Day of May now last past a Commission of Bankrupts under the Great Seal of Great Britain was Awarded and Issued against Samuel Sedgley William Hilhouse and William Randolph of the City of Bristol Merchants and Partners Directed to Rowles Scudamore Henry Hobhouse the Younger Esquires George Tyndale Thomas Evans and Thomas Symons Gentlemen or any Four or three of them whereof the said Rowles Scudamore or Henry Hobhouse to be one and this Deponent further saith that the Paper Writing hereunto annexed Marked at the Top thereof with the first Letter of the Alphabet or the Inital Letter (A) doth Contain a true and Exact Copy in every respect of the said Commission of Bankrupt so Awarded and Issued forth against the said Samuel Sedgley William Hilhouse and William Randolph and that the same was Carefully Examined and Compared with the said Commission so under the ^Great^ Seal of Great Britain as aforesaid by this Deponent with Henry Bengough of the said City (of) |
