(520) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed to wit Then Received of Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer the Sum of two hundred & Seventy two pounds Curr.y being the Consideration within Mentioned I say Received P Arch.d Orme £ 272 Witness J Hepburn Charles Hungerford Frederick County February the 3.d 1769 Then Came Archibald Orme Party to the within Deed and Acknowledged the Same to be his Act and Deed and the land and Premisses therein Mentioned with the Appurtenances to be the Right Title and Inheritance of the within Named Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer his heirs and Assigns forever According to the Purport true Intent and Meaning of the said Deed and at the same time Came Elizabeth the wife of the said Archibald Orme who being Privately Examined out of the hearing of her husband Declared that She relinquished her Right of Dower to teh Land and Premisses within Mentioned willingly and freely without being induced thereto by fears threats of or ill Usage by her husband or fear of his Displeasure Taken and Acknowledged the day year af.d Before J Hepburn Recorded the 13.th day of March 1769 Vide Alienation Fine Recorded folio 589 Ex.d This Indenture Made this fourth day of February in the year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty Nine Between Alexander Tracy of Frederick County Planter of the one Part and Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer of the City of Annapolis Esq.r of the Other Part Witnesseth that the said Alexander Tracy for and in Consideration of the Sum of thirty five Pounds Current Money to him in hand Paid by the said Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer the receipt whereof the said Alexander Tracy doth hereby Acknowledge he the said Alexander Tracy hath granted bargained and Sold Aliened and Confirmed and by these Presents doth grant bargain & Sell Alien and Confirm unto the said Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Tract or parcel of Land Lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid known by the Name of Harpers folley and beginning at a bounded red Oak Stand.g on the drafts of a Branch Called Turkey foot running thence North twenty four Degrees East Sixty Perches thence North forty five degrees West Eighty Perches thence South ten Degrees East Sixteen Perches thence to the beginning Containing fifty Acres and also all ways Waters Easements (Rights) |
