(496) of the Word ^any^ Interlined Between the 29.th and ^the^ thirtieth Line Sam.l Worthington John White (Seal) W.m Thornton Jun.r On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed to wit Then Rece.d of John Botts Party to the within Deed the Sum of five Pounds Current Money it being the Consideration the within Bargained Premisses On the 16.th November 1768 ^the within Named John White^ Came Before me One of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and Acknowledged the within Written Indenture as and for his Act & Deed J B Bordley 1769 January 25.th Rec.d of M.r John Botts one half Penny Sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation fine on the within Lott of Ground by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of S.t Thomas Jenifer Esq.r his Said Lordships Agent & receiver General 7½ Jn.o Brice Recorded the 25.th day of January 1769 Ex.d This Indenture Made this 3.d Day of February in the Year seventeen hundred and Sixty Nine Between William Brown of London Town in Ann Arundel County Joyner of the One Part and Jonathan Selman of Ann Arundel County Planter of the Other Part Wittnesseth that the said William Brown for and in Consideration of the Sum of Eighty Six Pounds Eight Shillings and One Penny Curant Money of Maryland to him in hand Paid by the said Jonathan Selman at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents Paid the receipt whereof the said William Brown doth heareby Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom Acquit and Discharge the said Jonathan Selman his Heirs Executors and Administrators and Every of them by these Presents Hath given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened released Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth give Grant Bargain Sell Alien release Enfeoffe and Confirm unto him the said Jonathan Selman his Heirs and Assigns All that Tract of Land Comenly Caled Browns Chance Lying and being in Baltimore County Near a Run caled Morgans Run Beginning at the End of the fifth Line of a Tract of Land Cale'd Neighbours Friendship it being the former Original Survay and runing thence North West twenty Perches North forty Degrees East One hundred and twenty Pearches North Twenty four Degrees East One hundred and Seventy One Perches South five Degrees West two hundred and two Perches South thirty Six Degrees and thirty Minuts West One hundred Perches South ten Degrees East One hundred and forty Six Perches South forty Seven Degrees West Seventy two Perches South twenty Degrees West two hundred Perches North Eighty Eight Degrees West Eighty Perches North Sixteen Degrees East One hundred and three Perches North Twenty Six Degrees East One hundred and Eighteen Perches North forty One Degrees East twenty Perches North Eighty Seven Degrees East fifty Perches and thence with a Straight Line to the Begining Containing and Laid Out for two hundred |
