(492) 1768 January 4.th Rec.d of Aaron Meek one shilling Sterling for the Use of Lord Baltimore being the alienation fine on the within land & by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of S.t Thomas Jenifer Esq.r his Lordships Agent and Receiver General John Brice Recorded the 4.th Day of January 1768 Mem.d the Deed from Moses Meek to Aaron Meeke is Recorded in this Book Folio 425 Ex.d To all Christian People to whom this Present Writing shall Come I WIlliam Reynolds of the City of Annapolis Send Greeting whereas a certain Thomas Sligh and William Askew of Baltimore County with a certain Joseph Ensor Charles Frederick Weisenthall and Daniel Barnett their Securities by their Bond or Obligation bearing Date the fourteenth Day of August in the year one thousand seven hundred and sixty four became Jointly ^and^ Severally bound unto Me the said William Reynolds in the Penal Sum of four hundred and Eighty Nine pounds two Shillings and four pence Sterling Money conditioned for the Payment of the sum of two hundred and forty four Pounds eleven shillings and two pence Sterling Money within twelve Months from the Date thereof with Legal Interest And Whereas Default being made in the payment of the aforesaid Sum of Sterling Money and Interest secured by the said Bond I the said William Reynolds did in the right Honourable the Lord proprietary of this Province his Provincial Court held at the City of Annapolis the Second Tuesday of September in the year Seventeen hundred and Sixty five obtain Judgment in an Acton of Debt upon the said Bond against them the said Thomas Sligh William Askew, Daniel Barnett, Joseph Ensor, and Charles Frederick Weisenthall, for the aforesaid Sum of Four hundred and eighty Nine pounds two Shillings and four Pence Sterling Money and five hundred fifty Six and a Quarter pounds of Tobacco Costs of Suit as by the Record of the said Judgment now remaining in the said Court, Reference being thereunto had may more fully appear And whereas the said Charles Frederick Weisenthall one of the securities in the said Bond did on the first Day of August in the year Seventeen hundred and sixty eight Pay & Satisfy unto Me the said William Reynolds the aforesaid Sum of two] hundred and forty four pounds eleven Shillings and two pence Sterling being the principal and the Sum of fifty eight Pounds thirteen shillings and ten pence Sterling the Interest then due thereon amounting in the whole to the Sum of three hundred and three pounds five Shillings Sterling and also the aforesaid Sum of Five hundred fifty Six and a Quarter pounds of Tobacco Costs of Suit Now Know ye that I the said William Reynolds for the Consideration of the aforesaid Sum of three hundred and three pounds five Shillings Sterling and five hundred fifty Six and a Quarter pounds of Tobacco to Me in Hand Paid by the said Charles Frederick Weisenthall of Baltimore County the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge do Give grant Bargain Sell Assign transfer and Set Over unto the said Charles Frederick Weisenthall his Executors Administrators and Assigns the Judgment aforesaid for the aforesaid Sum of four hundred and eighty Nine pounds two Shillings & four (Pence) |
