Examd
             This Indenture made the second Day of November in the Year of our Lord one
       thousand seven hundred and sixty eight Between John Hall of Beadford County in the Colony
       of Virginia Farmer of the one part and Joseph Mathias of Frederick County in the
       Province of Maryland of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Hall for and in
       Consideration of the sum of thirty three Pounds to him in Hand paid or secured to be paid
       by the said Joseph Mathias the receipt whereof the said John Hall doth
       acknowledge and thereof doth Acquit and discharge the said Joseph Mathias
       his Executors and Administrators hath given granted bargained sold aliened
       enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien
       enfeoff and confirm unto the said Joseph Mathias his Heirs and Assigns all
       that Tract or parcel of Land called Halls Range lying and being on the
       Line between Frederick and baltimore County's on the Fork of Great Pipe
       Creek Beginning at a Bounded Spanish Oak being the Beginning Tree
       of the aforesaid Land and runing then North eighty nine Degrees East
       ninety five Perches then North thirty five and a half Degrees East ten
       Perches to the End of seventy two and a half Perches on the second Line
       of the following Tract then with said Line reverse North ten Degrees West
       seventy two and a half Perches then with a streight line to the first Beginning
       containing and now laid out for Twenty five Acres of Land be the same more or
       less Together with all and singular the Appurtenances and Buildings whatsoever
       thereunto belonging or anywise appertaining to belong To have and to hold
       the said Tract or parcel of Land called Halls Range and premisses aforesaid
       with the Appurtenances to the said Joseph Mathias his Heirs and Assigns to
       the only  Proper Use and Behoof of him the said Joseph Mathias his Heirs
       and Assigns forever and to no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever and
       the said John Hall for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth
       Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Joseph Mathias
       his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns that he the said John Hall and
       his Heirs the said Bargained and Sold Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances
       to him the said Joseph Mathias and his Heirs and Assigns against all
       persons Claiming the same by from or under him the said John Hall
       and his Heirs and all other Persons whatsoever shall and will warrant
       and for ever hereafter defend by these Presents And the said John Hall
       for himself his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns doth hereby
       further Covenant Promise and Agree to and with the said Joseph Mathias
       his Heirs and Assigns that he the said John Hall and his Heirs shall and
       will at any Time hereafter at the Reasonable request and at the Costs
       and Charges in the Law of the said Joseph Mathias his Heirs and Assigns
