(462) Examd This Indenture made this tenth Day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight Between Thomas Metcalfe of Ann Arundel County Planter of the one part and Joseph Mayo of the same County planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Metcalfe for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said Joseph Mayo at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for divers other good Causes and Valuable Considerations him thereunto moving he the said Thomas Metcalfe hath Granted Bargained Sold Released and Confirmed and doth Grant Bargain Sell Release and Confirm unto the sid Joseph Mayo his Heirs and Assigns in his Actual possession now being All those three several Tracts or parcells of Land situate lying and being in Ann Arundel County aforesaid in the Swamp the one called Baldwins Addition containing sixty five Acres of Land more or less the other called Dorcus's Chance or Choice containing One hundred and sixteen Acres of Land more or less together with all and singular the Houses Edifices Buildings profits Commodities and Advantages belonging or in any wise Appurtaining to the same and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Yearly and other rents Issues and profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Medcalfe of into or out of the said Lands Tenements Hereditaments and premisses and each of them and every part or parts of them or any of them To have and to hold the said Messuages Farms Lands Tenements Hereditaments and all and singular the premisses herein before mentioned or intended to be hereby Granted Bargained and Sold with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Joseph Mayo and his Heirs To the Intent and purpose that the said Joseph Mayo may become a good and perfect Tenant of the Freehold of all and singular the said Messuages Farms Lands Tenements Hereditaments and premisses To the End that one or more good and perfect Recoveries in the Name of Common Recoveries for Assurance of Lands may in due form of Law be had and Suffered levied and perfected of all and singular the said Messuages Farms Lands Tenements Hereditaments and premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances and for that end and purpose it is agreed by all the said parties to these presents that it shall and may be lawful to and for John Hall of the City of Annapolis Attorney at Law at the Costs and Charges of him the said Joseph Mayo to sue out returnable to the next Provincial Court one or more Writ or Writs of Entry Sur Disseisin en le post against him the said Joseph Mayo in the Name of the said John hall as plaintiff or Demandant therein of and for the several Messuages Farms Lands Tenements Hereditaments and all and singular the premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances by such Apt and convenient Names Numbers Quantities Qualities and discriptions as shall be thought fit and requisite and unto which said Writ or Writs the said (Joseph) |
