(420) aforesaid that then she the said Lettice Tomson her heirs Executors or Administrators shall and will pay to him the said John Lee his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns such part thereof as shall be deficient and unpaid or satisfied And the said john Lee for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Lettice Thomson her heirs Execrators and Administrators that in case there shall be any surplus after the Application of the monies arising by such sale as aforesaid to the several payments aforesaid that then he the said John Lee his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns shall and will pay Such surplus to the said Lettice Thomson her heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns with lawfull Interest thereon In Witness whereof the said Lettice Thomson hath hereunto set her hand and Affixed her Seal the day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of us J Hepburn Rogers Lettice Thomson (Seal) On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received on the day and Year first within written of and from the within named John Lee the Sum of three hundred and forty two pounds Seventeen shillings and two pence sterling Money being the consideration within mentioned to be by him paid to me Witness J Hepburn Rogers Lettice Thomson On the fourteenth day of April seventeen hundred and sixty Eight Came the within named Lettice Thomson before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the provincial Court and Acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be her Act and Deed and the undivided moiety of the tract or parcel of Land therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named John Lee his heirs and Assigns forever according to the true intent and Meaning of the same writing and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided Before me J Hepburn Recorded 19.th day of July 1768 11½ sides Ex.d Know all Men by These Presents That I William Thompson off Seales in the Parish off Threlkett within the Barrony of Graystock in the County off Cumberland and Diees off Carlisle Yeoman For Divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving Have made ordained Authorised Constituted and Appointed And by these Presents Do make ordain Authorise Constitute Nominate and Appoint and in my Stead and Place Put and Depute John Denton off Warnell Hall in the parish of Sebram in the said County Esq.r my True and Lawfull Attorney Irevocable Either by |
