390 Ex.d This Indenture Made this Tenth Day of May in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Eight by and between Jonathan Griffith of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland Planter and Samuel Mannen of the County and Province affors.d Witnesseth That the said Jonathan Griffith for and in Consideration of Seventeen pounds Pensylvania Currency to him in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivering of these presents by the s.d Samuel Mannen the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged by the said Jonathan Griffith and he therewith fully satisfied and Contented Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed And by these presents Doth Absolutely Give Grant Bargain and Sell Enfeofe and Confirm unto the said Samuel Mannen his heirs and Assigns forever all that part of a Tract or Land called Hookers Meadow which said part Hereby Granted is bounded as follows (viz.t) Beginning at the End of the South Twenty Two Degrees East forty perch Line of the Original Tract called Hookers Meadows and Runs thence South Eleven Degrees East One hundred and Sixteen perches South Seaventy five Degrees East Sixty perches North forty Six Deg East twenty Six perches North Nine Deg.s West Sixty four perches North ^Nineteen^ Deg.s East Eighty two perches and then by a Streight Line to the place of Beginning ^containing^ and Laid out for Eighty four Acres of Land Be the same more or Less To have and to hold the said Eighty four Acres of Land with all its Rights and members and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or anywise Appertaining unto the said Samuel Mannen his heirs and Assigns forever together with all Rights Titles Claims and Demands of him the said Jonathan Griffith of in and to the Affores.d Eighty Four Acres of Land and the s.d Jonathan Griffith For himself and his heirs doth Covenant and Agree to and with the said Samuel Mannen his heirs and Assigns That he the s.d Jonathan Griffith his heirs Executors and Ad.mrs shall and will at all times forever hereafter well and Sufficiently Warrant and Defend the Affors.d Eighty four Ac^r^es of Land and premises unto the said Samuel Mannen his heirs and Assigns forever Against him the s.d Jonathan Griffith his heirs and Assigns or any other person Claiming by from or under him or them and the said Jonathan Griffith Doth for himself his heirs Executors and Adm.rs promise grant and Agree to and with the s.d Samuel Mannen his heirs and Assigns to sign Seal and Deliver & Execute any other Deed or Instrument in writing as the s.d Samuel Mannen his heirs or Assigns or his or their Council Learned in the Law may or Shall Reasonably Advise or Devised for the further and better Assureance Security and Suremakeing of y.e Affores.d Land and Premisses unto the s.d Samuel Mannen his heirs and Assigns at the proper Cost and Chearg of him the s.d Samuel Mannen his heirs & Assigns In Witness whereof the s.d Jonathan Griffith hath hereunto Interchangeably Set their hands and Seals the Day and Year first above Written Sign'd Seal'd and Delivered Jonathan Griffith (Seal) In the pressence of his Will.m Aisquith, Joseph Burgess Samuel T Mannen (Seal) marke |
