(388) and reasonable Deed or Deeds Conveyance or Conveyances Assurance or Assurances whatsoever for the further better and more perfect assuring and Conveying the said premisses hereby bargained and Conveyed unto the said Addison Murdock and John Murdock their Heirs and Assigns so that the said further Assurance contain no other Clause or warranty than is herein contained And that he the said Thomas Addison and his Heirs the said hereby bargained and Conveyed premisses to them the said Addison Murdock and John Murdock and their Heirs from and against him the said Thomas Addison Junior and all persons claiming from by or under him the said Thomas Addison Junior shall and will warrant and for ever hereafter warrant and defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said Thomas Addison Junior hath hereunto sett his Hand and Affixed his Seal the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and dilivered Tho.s Addison Jun.r (seal) in the presence of us Geo Steuart Lanc.t Jacques Received on the Day and Year first within written of and from the within named Addison Murdock and John Murdock the sum of five shillings sterling the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him paid to me Received by me Tho.s Addison Jun.r Witness Geo Steuart Lanc.t Jacques On the twenty ninth Day of April in the Year seventeen hundred and sixty eight Came the within named Thomas Addison Junior before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and premisses therein mentioned with the Appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof to be the only right and Estate of the within named Addison Murdock and John Murdock their Heirs and Assigns according to the True intent and meaning of the same writing and the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided At the same Time also personally appeared before me Rebecca the wife of the said Thomas Addison Junior and relinquished and acknowledged all her Right and Title of Dower of in and to the Lands and premisses within mentioned to the said Addison Murdock and John Murdock their Heirs and Assigns and she being by me examined privately apart from and out of the hearing of her said Husband declared she made such Acknowledgment and relinquishment willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fears or threats of or ill usage by her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure according to the Act of Assembly aforesaid Before me Geo Steuart Recorded the 30.th Day of April 1768 14¾ sides |
