(384) and Thomas Johnson their Heirs and Assigns in undivided Moietys as Tenants in Common according to the True intent and meaning of the within Deed And on the same Day and Year came also before us Margaret the wife of the said Charles Carroll and she being by Us privately examined apart from and out of the hearing of her said Husband did relinquish and release to the said Lancelot Jacques and Thomas Johnson jun.r and their Heirs all her Right Title Interest and Claim of Dower of in and to the said Lands and premisses and she did declare that she made such release and this her Acknowledgment voluntarily and freely without being induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or ill usage from her said Husband or through Fear of his Displeasure Before Reverdy Ghiselin Rob.t Coudene Maryland Ann Arundel County to wit I Hereby Certify to all whom it may or doth concern that Mess.rs Reverdy Ghiselin and Robert Couden Gent who Signed the above Acknowledgment was at the Time of Signing the same and still are two of his Lordships the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid lawfully Authorized and Assigns to whom Faith is and ought to be given as well in Justice Court as thereout L S In Testimony whereof I have hereunto sett my Hand and affixed the Public seal of the County aforesaid this 21.st Day of April seventeen hundred and sixty eight J Brice Ck of AA Cot.y Recorded the 27.th Day of April 1768 8 sides Ex.d This Indenture made this twenty ninth Day of April in the Year seventeen hundred and sixty eight Between Thomas Addison Junior of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and Addison Murdock of the same County and Province Gentleman and John Murdock of Frederick County in the Province aforesaid Junior of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Addision Junior for and in Consideration of the sum of five shillings Sterling Money to him in Hand paid by the said Addison Murdock and John Murdock at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and therefrom acquit and discharge the said Addison Murdock and John Murdock their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns by these presents Hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto them the said Addison Murdock (and) |
