(382) Ann Arundel County to wit These are to Certify to all whom it may in any manner Concern that Henry Ridgely and John Burgess Junior Gentlemen and before whom the above Acknowledgment as made taken and Signed at the Time of making taking and Signing the same and long before were and now are two of his Lordships the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the peace for the County afs.d thereunto Duly and legally Authorized Commissioned and Qualified and that to all Acknowledgments by them so signed full faith and Credit is and ought to be given in Justice Court and thereout L S In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Affixed the Seal of the County afs.d this twelfth Day of April Anno Domini 1768 J Brice Clk AA Coty I have Received of Thomas Johnson Jun.r the sum of five shillings sterling being the Alienation fine on the within by Virtue of a Commission from the Lord Proprietary of this Province April 12.th 1768 Bennet Allen Recorded the 12.th Day of April 1768 7¾ Sides Ex.d This Indenture made this fifteenth Day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight Between Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Esquire Barrister of the one part and Lancelot Jacques of the City of Annapolis Merchant and Thomas Johnson Junior of the City of Annapolis Attorney at Law of the other part witnesseth that the said Charles Carroll for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and ninety Pounds Current Money of Pensilvania to him in Hand paid at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the Receit whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth release acquit and discharge the said Lancelot Jacques and Thomas Johnson Jun.r their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and every of them by these presents Hath given granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents Doth give grant bargain sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto them the said Lancelot Jacques and Thomas Johnson jun.r All those several Tracts or parcels of Land following lying and being in Frederick County to wit Spring Head containing Ninety six Acres more or less Black Oak Land containing Two hundred and twenty five Acres of Land more or less Addition to Black Oak Land containing twenty two Acres more or less Slaief Galluon containing Fifty Acres of Land more or less and Killmore containing one hundred and Ninety Acres of Land more or less together with all woods under woods (waters) |
