(378) Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the Land and premisses therein mentioned with the Appurtenances thereto belonging to be the right and Estate of the within Named John Hawkins his heirs and Assigns forever according to the Direction of an Act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided Charles Jones Josi Beall Reced of John Hawkins the sum of nine shillings and seven pence half penny Sterling being the Alienation Fine on the within Land by virtue of a Commission from the Lord Proprietary for his use April 7.th 1768 Bennet Allen Recorded the 7.th Day of April 1768 11¾ sides Ex.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made this eleventh Day of April seventeen hundred and sixty eight Between Nicholas Watkins Jun.r of Prince Georges County of the one part and Charles Worthington of Ann Arundel County of the other part witnesseth that the said Nicholas Watkins ju.r for and in Consideration of one hundred and sixty pounds Sterling of good and lawfull Mon^ey^ of Great Britain to him paid or secured to be paid by the said Charles Worthington the Receipt whereof the said Nicholas Watkins Ju.r doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith to be fully satisfied contented and paid Hath given granted Bargained sold Aliened Released and Confirmed and by these presents doth give grant Bargain sell alien Release and Confirm unto him the said Charles Worthington his heirs and Assigns for ever all his the said Nicholas Watkins ju.r Right Title Interest and property of in and to all them Tracts or parcels of Land called Watkins Range lying and being in Frederick County and Beginning at a Bounded white Oak and Spanish Oak standing in the Fork of a large Branch near to a parcel of pines called sinicae pines which said Branch falleth into Sinicae Creek that runs into Potomack River and runing thence South seven Degrees East fifty nine perches East twenty seven perches North fifty five and half Degrees East twenty four perches North fifty one Degrees East one hundred and seventy two perches North forty six Degrees west one hundred and four perches then with a Straight Line to the first Beginning Boundary Containing and now laid out for One hundred Acres of Land more or less the other Tract called the Addition to Watkins's Range lying in the County aforesaid Beginning at three bounded Red Oaks standing at the end of the fourth Course of the aforesaid Watkins Range and runing thence North forty six Degrees (west) |
