(368) Ex.d This Indenture made the twenty fifth Day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight Between William Worthington of the County of Baltimore in the Province of Maryland Planter one of the Grand sons of John Worthington late of Ann Arundel County in the said Province Merchant Deceased of the other part Witnesseth that whereas the aforesaid John Worthington deced in life Time made his last will and Testament in writing duly proven and remaining in the Prerogative Office at Annapolis among other Things therein contained did give devise and bequeath unto his two Grand sons John Worthington and William Worthington sons of his son William Worthington deced and to their Heirs for ever part of a Tract of Land called the Addition to Whisky Ridge lying in Frederick County at a place called Linganore containing Seven hundred Acres of Land to be equally divided between them as Tenants in common And whereas by a Deed of Division bearing even date with these presents made between John Worthington party hereto and John Worthington the Grand Son of the aforesaid John Worthington deced of the one part and the above Named William Worthington party hereto of the other part whereby the said John Worthington and John Worthington did for the Consideration therein mentioned release Assign Transfer and Convey and Confirm unto the said William Worthington a certain piece part or parcel of the aforesaid Tract of Land called the Addition to Whiskie Ridge Beginning at the end of the eighth Course of the Addition to Whiske Ridge South twenty Degrees East two hundred and twenty nine perches South thirty Degrees west fifty eight perches then with a line drawn a Cross to the end of the thirty second Course of the Resurvey on Whiskey Ridge North thirty three Degrees East forty four perches North twenty seven Degrees west sixty perches North ten Degrees west one hundred thirty six perches to the Division line between this part and the part laid off for John Worthington the Grand son then along the said Division line to the place of Begining Containing and laid out for Three hundred and fifty Acres be the same more or less To hold to him the aforesaid William Worthington and ot his Heirs and Assigns forever Now this Indenture further witnesseth that the said William Worthington the Grand Son for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty Pounds sterling Money to him in hand paid by the said John Worthington (the Son of John Worthington deced) the receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof doth Acquit and forever discharge the said John Worthington his heirs and Assigns by these presents (Hath) |
