(344) Acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Land and premisses therein contained to be the right and Estate of the within mentioned Philip Hall his Heirs and Assigns forever according to the true intent and meaning of these presents and the Act of Assembly in such cases made and Provided and at the same Time came Frances the wife of said Sappington and being privately examined acknowledged all her right of Dower to the within mentioned Land and Premisses to be the right of the within named Philip Hall his Heirs and Assigns forever and that she did of her own free will and voluntary Consent not being Compelld by her said Husband for fear of his Displeasure John Burgess Jun.r H Ridgely 1767 Novem.r 19.th Rec.d of Philip Hall the sum of eight shillings sterling for the use of Lord being the Alienation fine on the within Land and by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General J Brice Ann arundel County to wit These are to Certify to all whom it may concern that John Burgess Junior and Henry Ridgely Gentleman by and before whom the above Acknowledgment were made taken and signed at the Time making taking and signing the same long before were and now are two of his Lordships the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the peace for the County afsd thereunto Duly and legally authorized Commissioned and Qualified and that to all Acknowledgments by them so signed full faith and Credit is and ought to be given as well in Justice Court as thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and L S affixed the Publick Seal of the County afs.d this nineteen Day of Novem.r Anno Dom 1767 J Brice Cl AA Coty Recorded the 19.th Day of November 1767 11 sides Ex.d This Indenture made this second Day of December in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty seven Between Henry Wright of Talbot County in the Province of Maryland Silversmith of the one part and Thomas Hyde of the City of Annapolis and Province aforesaid Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy Pounds four shillings and seven pence Current Money of Maryland to him the said (Henry) |
