(325) shillings sterling each from the within mentioned Jeremiah Chase being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid T Sheredine, Anne Sheredine, John Cromwell Witness W.m Harwood, Mary e Maryland Ann Arundel County to wit Be it remembered that the within named Thomas Sheredine and Ann his wife and the within named John Cromwell came before me one of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietarys provincial Magistrates for the Province of Maryland and acknowledged the within Deed to their Act and Deed respectively and the Land and premisses with their Appurtenances within mentioned to be the Estate of the within named Jeremiah Townly Chase his Heirs and Assigns for the uses intents and purposes therein mentioned And the said Ann wife to the said Thomas Sheredine being by me examined privately out of the hearing of her Husband declared that she made the above Acknowledgment willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by force or threats of ill usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure Taken and certified this 24.th Day of October Anno Domini 1767 Before Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Recorded the 24.th Day of October 1737 NB the three deeds recorded in folio 407, 409 & 410 viz.t 11¼ sides from Outerbridge to Horsey & from Scholfield to Hayward from John Coster to Geo Hayward ought to been recorded here they being left out by mistake of the Clerk Ex.d This Indenture made this first Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven Between Susannah Heath of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland widow of the one part and Benjamin Rumsey of the County of Cæcil and Province aforesaid Attorney at Law of the other part witnesseth that it is covenanted concluded granted and agreed by and between the parties to these presents And the said Susanna Heath for her self her Heirs Executors and Administrators doth covenant grant and agree to and with the said Benjamin Rumsey and his heirs by these presents that she the said Susanna Heath shall and will before the end of next October Provincial Court ensuing permit and suffer the said Benjamin Rumsey to sue forth and prosecute against her the said Susanna Heath one writ of Entry upon a Disseisin in le post returnable before the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the Provincial Court thereby demanding against the said Susannah Heath All that Eight Hundred and eighty six Acres of plantable Land called Goldsmiths Rest Beginning at a bounded Locust post on a point by a Marsh on the Southward side of Grove Creek and near the Mouth thereof South West and by South from a long point of Land on the Northward side of the Mouth of said Creek which Point is commonly known by the name of Woodpeckers Hall (said) |
