(322) and Appurtenances To have and to hold the aforesaid Tract or parcel of Land Called South Conton and all and singular other the premisses herein before mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and sold with their and every of their Rights Members & Appurtenances unto the said Jeremiah Townley Chase his Executors Administrators & Assigns from the Day next before the Day of the Date of these presents for and during the Term of one whole year from thence next ensuing & fully to be compleat and ended Yielding and paying therefore unto the said Thomas Sheredine and Ann his wife and the said John Cromwell their Heirs and Assigns the Rent of one pepper Corn only on the last Day of the same Term of the same shall be demanded To the intent and purpose that by virtue of these presents and of the statute for Transferring uses into Possession the said Jeremiah Townley Chase may be in the actual possession of all and singular the said hereby bargained premisses with their Appurtenances and may thereby be enabled to accept and take a Grant or Release of the Reversion and Inheritance thereof to him and his Heirs in such manner and for such uses intents & purposes as the said Thomas Sheredine and Ann his wife and John Cromwell do intend to grant or release the same by Indenture intended to bear Date the Day next after the Day of the Date of these presents In Witness whereof the said Thomas Sheredine and Ann his wife and the aforesaid John Cromwell have hereunto sett their Hands and affixed their seals the Day and Year first above written Sealed and Delivered T Sheredine (seal) in presence of Anne Sheredine (seal) W.m Harwood Mary E John Cromwell (seal) Recorded the 24.th Day of October 1767 4½ sides Ex.d This Indenture Tripartite made this second Day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven Between Thomas Sheredine and Ann his wife one of the Daughters of Captain John Cromwell late of Ann Arundel County Deceased and John Cromwell one of the sons of the aforesaid Captain John Cromwell of the first part Jeremiah Townly Chase of the City of Annapolis of the second part and Samuel Chase of the same City of the third part witnesseth that for the Docking (and) |
