(321) have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and affixed their seals the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered Charles Gibbs (seal) in the presence of us William Cooke Isaac Finley William Gibbs (seal) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed to wit Received on the Day and Year first within written of and from the within named William Gibbs the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him paid to me Received by me Charles Gibbs Witness William Cooke Isaac Finly On the twenty fourth Day of October 1767 Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices the within named William Gibbs and Charles Gibbs and severally acknowledged the within Deed to be their respective Act and Deed to and for the uses intents and purposes within mentioned and the Land and premisses therein mentioned to be the right and Estate of the within named William Gibbs his Heirs and Assigns for Ever according to the true intent and meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided Geo Steuart Recorded the 24.th Day of October 1767 6½ sides Ex.d This Indenture made this first Day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven Between Thomas Sheredine and Ann his wife one of the Daughters of Captain John Cromwell late of Ann Arundel County deceased and John Cromwell one of the sons of the aforesaid Captain John Cromwell of the one part and Jeremiah Townley Chase of the City of Annapolis of the other part witnesseth That the said Thomas Sheredine and Ann his wife and the said John Cromwell for and in Consideration of the sum of five shillings sterling to them severally in Hand paid by the said Jeremiah Townley Chase at or before the Ensealing & Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have bargained and sold and by these presents Do bargain and sell unto the said Jeremiah Townley Chase All that Tract or parcel of Land called South Conton lying in Ann Arundel County aforesaid and Containing five hundred Acres of Land and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents issues and profits of the same and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their Rights Members (and) |
