(314) and certified this twenty ninth Day of September Anno Domini 1767 before Andrew Heugh W.m Blair Recorded the 22.d Day of October 1767 12½ Sides Ex.d This Indenture made this twenty ninth Day of September in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty seven Between John Cawood of Frederick County in the Colony of Virginia Planter son and devisee of Stephen Cawood late of Charles County in the Province of Maryland Deceased of the one part and James Marshall of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Cawood for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings sterling Money to him in Hand paid by the aforesaid James Marshall at or before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents Doth grant bargain and sell unto him the said James Marshall his Executors Administrators and Assigns All that part of a tract or parcel of Land called Hull lying and being in Charles County aforesaid that is to say so much of the said Tract as shall be contained at the Eastermost end of it as shall be divided by a small branch Westerly from the Dwelling House about sixty yards and to run as the said Branch goes tending into Mattawoman Main run and over the sid run with a streight line from the mouth of the said small branch until it intersects the given line of the said Tract of Land it being the same parcel of Land which was heretofore devised by the aforesaid Stephen Cawood to the aforesaid John Cawood in Tail Together with all Edifices Buildings Gardens Orchards ways waters water Courses Commodities priviledges Improvements Emoluments advantages and Appurtenances whatsoever to the same parcel of Land belonging or appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders Rents Issues and profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof To have and to hold the same part of the Tract or parcel of Land aforesaid and premisses with the Appurtenances unto the said James Marshall his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the Day next before the Day of the Date of these presents for and during and until the full end and Term of one whole year from thence next ensuing and fully to be compleat and ended to the intent and purpose (that by Force and virtue of these presents and of the statute for transferring uses into Possession) the said James Marshall may be in the actual possession of the premisses and be thereof enabled to take and accept a Grant and Re Lease of the Reversion and Inheritance thereof to him and his Heirs for ever In Witness whereof the parties to these (presents) |
