(313) Appurtenances to the only use and Behoof of the said John Hawkins his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to no other use intent or purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the said parties to these Presents have hereunto set their Hands and Seals the Day and year first above written Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Jn.o Hawkins (seal) Geo Lee Thomas Love Dorothy Hawkins (seal) Richard Beall Joseph Wilson John Baker (seal) Judith Baker (seal) William Willson (seal) Charity Willson (seal) Received the Day of the within written Indenture by us respectively the sum of five shillings Sterling each from the within mentioned William Cooke being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid £0 5.s 0.d Jn.o Hawkins Dorothy Hawkins Witness Thomas Love Richard Beall John Baker Judith Baker William Willson Charity Willson Maryland Charles County fs Be it remembered that the within named John Hawkins and Dorothy his wife came before me one of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietarys Provincial Magistrates for the Province of Maryland and Acknowledged the within Deed to be their Act and the Lands and Premisses with their Appurtenances thereby given granted released and confirmed to be the Estate of the within named William Cooke his Heirs and Assigns for the uses intents and purposes therein mentioned and the said Dorothy wife to the said John Hawkins being by me examined privately out of the hearing of her Husband declared that she made the above Acknowledgment willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Force or threats of ill usage by her Husband or Fear of his Displeasure Taken and certified this twenty second Day of Septem.r Anno Domini 1767 before J Hepburn Maryland Frederick County fs Be it remembered that the within named John Baker and Judith his wife and William Willson and Charity his wife came before us two of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the Peace for Frederick County and acknowledged the within Deed to be their Act and the Lands and premisses with their Appurtenances thereby given granted released and confirmed to be the Estate of the within named William Cooke his Heirs and Assigns for the uses intents and Purposes therein mentioned and the said Judith and Charity being by us privately examined out of the hearing of their Husbands declared severally that they made the above Acknowledgment willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by force or threats of ill usage by their Husbands or fear of their Displeasure Taken (and) |
