(31) Examined This Indenture made this thirty first Day of October in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty five Between Samuel Galloway of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the one Part and Stephen Watkins of Ann Arundel County Planter of the other Part whereas the said Samuel Galloway and Stephen Watkins being seized in Fee in undivided moieties as Tenants in Common of and in the several Tracts of Land following to wit all that Tract or Parcell of Land called Watkins his Purchase lying and being in Ann Arundel County aforesaid containing according to the Grant thereof five hundred and fifty four acres more or less all that other Tract or parcell of Land lying and being in Ann Arundel County aforesaid and formerly surveyed for Thomas Miles lying on the west side of Chesepeak Bay next adjoining to the Land of Roger Grose bounding on the east with the said Land for the length of one hundred and seventy five Perches on the north with a line drawn east from a marked stake for the length of ninety five Perches on the west with a Line drawn south south east from the End of the former Line unto a marked oak on the south with the west River for the length of ninety five Perches to a marked oak containing according to the Grant thereof three hundred acres more or less and all that Tract or Parcell of Land lying and being in Ann Arundel County aforesaid called Watkins's Inheritance containing according to the Grant thereof three hundred acres of Land more or Less with the appurtenances to the same three Tracts or Parcells of Land belonging which same three Tracts are some times collectively called and known by the name of Watkins's Neck and they the said Samuel Galloway and Stephen Watkins being minded and agreed that the said Tracts or parcells of Land and Premisses Should be divided and that a just and equal Partition thereof by consent Should be made between them so that each of them might have in certainty and severally his Part and Portion therein and might be enabled to dispose of the same as to him should seem most convenient they the said Samuel Galloway and Stephen Watkins have caused the said Lands to be carefully and accurately surveyed by which it is found that the whole contains only the Quantity of nine hundred and forty six acres and respect being had to the quantity of the said Lands the whole into two equal Parts was divided by the Boundaries Lines Courses and Distances herein after limitted granted bargained and sold to the said Stephen Watkins or meant mentioned or intended so to be fell by Lot to him and the other Part thereof fell by Lott to him the said Samuel Galloway, Now This Indenture |
