(307) of these presents and fo the statute for transferring uses into possession the said Richard Henderson may be in the Actual Possession of all and singular the said hereby bargained Premisses with their Appurtenances and may thereby be enabled to accept and take a Grant or Release of the Reversion and Inheritance thereof to him and his Heirs in such manner and for such uses intents and purposes as the said William Edmonston doth intend to grant or release the same by Indenture intended to bear Date the Day next after the Day of the Date of these presents In Witness whereof the Parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and Affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above Written signed sealed and Delivered in the presence of his James Marshall J Rogers William X Edmonston (seal) Mark On the Back of the aforegoing Lease were the following Endorsments viz.t Reced on the Day and Year first within written of and from the within named Richard Henderson the sum of five shillings Current Money being the Consideration within mentioned to be by him paid to me I say received by his Witness James Marshall J Rogers William X Edmonston Mark On the 22.d Day of October 1767 Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices the within named William Edmonston and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed to and for the uses intents and purposes therein mentioned according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided B Hands Recorded the 22.d Day of October 1767 sides 6½ Ex.d This Indenture Tripartite made the twenty fifth Day of September in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty seven Between William Edmonston of Calvert County Taylor of the first part Richard Henderson of Prince Georges County Merchant of the second part and Thomas Johnson Jun.r of the City of Annapolis of the third part Witnesseth that for the docking barring and extinguishing all Estates Tail of and in the Lands and Appurtenances herein after mentioned and all and every the Remainder and Remainders thereupon expectant or depending and for settling the said Lands and Appurtenances to and for and upon the uses intents and purposes herein after particularly expressed and declared and for and in Consideration of fifty Pounds Current Money to the said William Edmonston in Hand paid by the said Richard Henderson at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for other good causes and Considerations hereunto moving the said William Edmonston He the said William Edmonston hath Bargained sold & released and by these Presents Doth bargain sell and release (unto) |
