(301) Ex.d This Indenture Tripartite made this twentieth Day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven Between Henry Carroll and Araminta his Wife of S.t Marys County of the first part Charles Carroll of Carrelton Esq.r of the second part and John Hall Attorney at Law of the third part Witnesseth that the said Henry Carroll and Araminta his Wife for and in Consideration of the sum of twenty shillings Sterling Money to them in hand paid by the said Charles Carroll at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and and for divers other good causes and valuable Considerations them hereunto moving the said Henry Carroll and Araminta his Wife Have Granted bargained and sold and by these presents Do Grant bargain and sell unto the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns All that Tract or parcel of Plantable Land situate lying and being in S.t Marys County called Susquehanna Point containing One hundred and ten Acres more or less also all that other Tract or parcel of Land lying in the said County called Addition alias Edlows addition containing thirty seven Acres more or less also all that other Tract or parcel of Land lying in the said County called Smiths Discovery containing two hundred and fifty eight Acres more or less also all that other Tract or parcel of Land lying in the said County formerly in the possession of a certain Christopher Rousby and Granted by Patent of Escheat to Cap.t Richard Smith containing one hundred and ninety five Acres more or less also all that other Tract or parcel of Land purchased by Christopher Rousby of a certain Hugh Hopewell called Further Neck containing one hundred Acres as by Act of Assembly of this Province may appear whereon Richard Wise did formerly dwell also all that other Tract or parcel of Land purchased by John Rousby Esq.r of a certain Charles Crowson containing one hundred Acres lying and being in Calvert County near Drum Point All which said several Tracts parts or parcels of Land were devised by the Last Will and Testament of John Romsby Esq.r Deceased after the Death of their Mother ^Mary Thompson^ to her two Daughters the said Araminta and her Sister Mary now Deceased as by the said will Reference being thereunto had may fully and at large appear and all and singular the Houses Edifices Buildins Improvements Profits Commodities and Advantages to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions remainder and remainders Yearly and other rents Issues and profits thereof and every part and parcel thereof and all the Estate Right title Interest Property Claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Henry Carroll and Araminta his Wife of in and unto or out of the said Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Premisses or any part or parts of them or any of them To have and to hold the said Messuages Farms Lands Tenements Hereditaments and all and singular the premisses before mentioned or intended to be hereby granted Bargained and sold with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Charles Carroll and his heirs To the Intent and Purpose to make him a good and perfect Tenant of the Freehold of all and singular the said (Messuages) |
