(262) post marked with four Notches Standing in a west north west Line drawn from the beginning white oak of Wilsons Enlargement to Patapsco River then reversing the said west North west Line and the out Lines of the said whole Tract called Duck Cove to the said first mentioned bounded Stone to and for the only proper use and behoof of him the said Thomas Hammond his heirs and assigns forever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever to be by him the said Thomas Hammond and his Heirs had and held in Severalty as and for his and their part of the said Tract or parcel of Land with the Appurtenances And as to touching and concerning the whole Residue of the said Tract of Land called Duck Cove the same Residue to and for the only proper Use and Behoof of her the said Rebecca wife of the aforesaid James Kelso her heirs and Assigns forever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever to be by her the said Rebecca and her Heirs had and held in Severalty as and for her and their part of the said Tract or parcell of Land with the Appurtenances In Witness whereof the Parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably Set their Hands and Affixed their Seals the day and year first above written Tho.s Hammond (Seal) Signed Sealed and Delivered Jam.s Kelso (Seal) in the Presence of Rebecca Kelso (Seal) Reverdy Ghiselin W.m Reynolds (Seal) William Steuart Th.s Johnson Jun.r (seal) On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed viz.t Received on the day and year first within written of and from the within named William Reynolds the sum of five Shillings Current Money being the Consideration within mentioned to be by him paid to us we say Received by Tho.s Hammond witness James Kelso Reverdy Ghiselin Rebecca Kelso On the 22.d July 1767 Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Thomas Hammond and James Kelso and Rebecca his wife William Reynolds and Thomas Johnson Junior and did Severally ^and respectively^ acknowledge the within instrument of writing to be their respective Act and Deed and the Land and Appurtenances therein mentioned to be assured Settled and Conveyed to be so assured Settled and conveyed to for and upon the uses Intents and purposes therein mentioned And the said Rebecca wife of the aforesaid James Kelso being by me privately examined apart from and out of the Hearing of her said Husband did make and repeat such her Acknowledgement as aforesaid and did also acknowledge and declare that She made the Same Acknowledgement voluntarily and |
