(24) according to the true intent and meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in Such cases made and provided Geo Steuart Received the 31.st October 1765 of Samuel Chase one shilling and eight pence fa^r^thing Sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within land ^&^ by virtue of a commission from Edward lloyd Esq his said Lordships Agent & Receiver General 5 s.ds John Davidson Recorded 31.st October 1765 Examined This Indenture Made this thirty first Day of October in the year seventeen hundred and sixty five Between Bezaleel Owings and Elijah Owings of Baltimore County of the one part and Michael Owings of the same county of the other part Witnesseth That for and in consideration of the sum of twenty three pounds Sterling Money to the said Bezaleel and Elijah in hand paid by the said Michael at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Bezaleel Owings and Elijah Owings do hereby acknowledge and thereof and every part and parcell thereof do exonerate acquit and discharge the said Michael Owings her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and Every of them forever by these presents they the said Bezaleel Owings and Elijah Owings have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe and confirm unto the said Michal Owings and her Heirs and Assigns forever all that part or parcell of a Tract of Land called Long acre originally Surveyed and patented Richard Owings lying on the north side of the head of Patapsco River in Baltimore County Beginning at a Bounded oak standing in the Line of Colonel Pierces Land it being the third Bounded Tree belonging to the said Long Acre and runing south one hundred perches then south south west forty perches to a bounded Hickory Standing by the falls side then south East twenty Perches then east south east one hundred perches (then) |
