(233) Exam.d This Indenture made this twelfth Day of May in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty Seven Between Charles Ridgely of Baltimore County Gentleman of the one part and Darby Lux of Baltimore County Merchant and Rachel his Wife the Daughter of the said Charles Ridgley and William Lux the Son of the said Darby Lux and Rachel his wife of the other part Witnesseth that the said Charles Ridgley for and in consideration of the natural Love and Affection which he hath and beareth towards the said Darby Lux and Rachel his wife and William Lux and also in consideration of five Shillings Sterling by them to him in hand paid the Receit whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth hereby acquit them and each of them their and each of their heirs Executors and Administrators Hath given granted bargained and Sold And by these presents Doth give grant bargain and sell to them the said Darby Lux and Rachel his wife and William Lux All That tract of Land lying in Baltimore County aforesaid called Lanes Triangle containing three hundred Acres more or less And also all that other Tract of Land lying in Baltimore County aforesaid called Ridgley's Fancy containing One hundred and thirty three Acres of Land more or less Together with all Houses Buildings Gardens Orchards ways waters water Courses Timber Timber trees Improvements Advantages and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said tracts or parcels of Land and each and either of them belonging or appertaining To have and to hold the said Tracts or parcells of Land with their and each of their Rights Members and Appurtenances to them the said Darby Lux and Rachel his wife for and during their natural Lives and to the survivor of them during the life of Such Survivor of them during the Life of Such Survivor and from and after the Decease of such Survivor to him the said William Lux and the heirs of his Body forever and for want of Such Heirs to the Heirs of the Bodies of them the said Darby Lux and Rachel Lux and the heirs of the Bodies of Such heirs last aforesaid forever To the only proper use and Behoof of the said Darby Lux and Rachel his wife and William Lux and the heirs of the Body of the said William Lux and for want of Such Heirs to the heirs of the Bodies of them the said Darby Lux and Rachel his wife and the Heirs of the Bodies of such Heirs as aforesaid for ever and to no other use intent or purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and Affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of Cha.s Ridgley (Seal) J Hepburn Th.s Johnson Jun.r On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed viz.t Received on the day & year first within written of the within Mentioned Darby Lux and Rachel his wife and William Lux their Son five Shillings Sterling the consideration within mentioned to be paid by them to me Cha.s Ridgley Witness J Hepburn Th.s Johnson Jun.r May |
