(151) will make do or Suffer to be done any other further Act or Acts thing or thins and will likewise Execute and Acknowledge any other Instrument of writing for the better surety and Suremaking of the said Land with the appurtenances aforesaid unto him the said Charles Hammond Jun.r his heirs and Assigns as aforesaid as by him or Them his or their Council Learned in the Law Shall be reasonably Devised Advised or Required and when by him or them he or they Shall be required thereto In Witness whereof he the party first above mentioned hath hereunto set his hand and Affixed his Seal the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered William Cromwell (seal) in the presence of us Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer, Tho.s Buchanan On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was Thus written Viz.t October 27.th 1766 Then received of Charles Hammond Junior the Sum of Seven Hundred and Fifty pounds Sterling Money it being the Consideration Ster within mentioned £750 0 0 Test William Cromwell Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer, Tho.s Buchanan October 27.th 1766 Then Came William Cromwell party to the within Deed before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and Acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances therein Expressed to be Bargained and Sold to be the Right and Estate of the within Named Charles Hammond Jun.r his heirs and Assigns for ever According to the True intent and meaning of the said Deed and of the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided And at the same time Cloe the wife of the said William Cromwell being privately Examined out of the hearing of her said husband declared that she freely and willingly gave up all her Right of Dower &c of in and to the said Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances &c unto him the said Charles Hammond Junior his heirs and Assigns for ever without any fear of the threats of her said husband or fear of his displeasure Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer October 29.th 1766 Received of Charles Hammond Junior the Sum of Ten Shillings and Six pence Sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation fine on the within Land and by virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General John Brice Sides Recorded 29.th October 1766 |
