(149) Right and Estate of the said Samuel Chew his heirs and Assigns according to the true intent and meaning of the said writing sides Jn.o Leeds Recorded 25.th October 1766 Examined This Indenture made this Twenty Seventh Day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Six Between William Cromwell heir at Law of William Cromwell and of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Farmer of the one part and Charles Hammond Jun.r of the County and Province aforesaid Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the sid William Cromwell as aforesaid for and in Consideration of the Sum of Seven hundred and fifty Pounds Sterling Money to him in hand well and Truly paid by the said Charles Hammond Jun.r at the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said William Cromwell as aforesaid doth hereby acknowledge and likewise confess himself to be fully Content Satisfied and paid to the said William Cromwell as aforesaid hath Granted Bargained and Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Conveyed and Confirmed and Doth by these presents Grant Bargain and Sell Alien Enfeoff Convey and Confirm unto the said Charles Hammond Jun.r his heirs and Assigns for ever all That Tract or Parcell of Land Called Cromwells First Seat Beginning for the Out Bounds of the whole Resurvey of the said Tract or parcel of Land at a Bounded Locust Post Standing on the North side of the Mouth of a Cove called Ceader Cove and near to the Spot where Originally Stood the Beginning Tree of a Tract of Land Called Mascalls Hope and in the Spot where stood a Bounded Locust Post the Beginning of Cromwells Enlargement and runing thence West South West thirty Eight perches to the Given line of Cromwells Adventure then with the said line across the Head of the aforesaid Ceader Cove South South East nine Perches to a Bounded water oak the Beginning tree of Cromwells Adventure Standing on the South side of the aforesaid Ceader Cove and on the East side of the Mouth of a Small Branch of the said Cove and running with the line of Cromwells Adventure west south west one hundred and Sixty perches still with the lines of Cromwells Adventure North North west nine perches then west South west one hundred perches to the given line of a Tract of Land Called Morelys Choice then by and with the said Line reverse of the Courses thereof North North West three hundred and twenty perches to Intersect the East North East Course of (Cromwells) |
