(128) On The Back of the aforegoing Release was Thus written viz.t Received on the Day and year first within mentioned of and from the within named David Clark the Sum of Ten Shillings Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him paid me Henry Naill Test Ja.s Hollyday Be it remembered that on the Second Day of March in the year one Thousand seven hundred and Sixty Six personally appeared before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the provincial court Henry Nail and Sarah his wife David Clark and John Veazey the parties to the within indenture and did Severally Acknowledge the Same Indenture to be his and her Act and Deed to and for the uses and purposes within mentioned And the said Sarah being by me privately examined out of the hearing of her husband did declare that she made her Acknowledgment aforesaid willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by fears or Threats of or ill usage by her husband or fear of his Displeasure In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand 8 sides Recorded 4.th August 1766 Jn.o Brice Ex.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made the Nineteenth day of July one Thousand seven hundred & Sixty Six Between Edward Cheney of Ann Arundel County and province aforesaid planter of the one part and John Penn Cheney of the county and province aforesaid planter of the other part Witnesseth that he the said Edward Cheney for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds Current Money to him in hand paid or Secured to be paid by the said John Penn Cheney the receit hereof he the said Edward Cheney doth Acknowledge and himself therewith to be fully Satisfied Contented and paid hath Given Granted bargained and Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed unto him the said John Penn Cheney his heirs and Assigns All his the said Edward Cheneys Right and Title both in Law and Equity of in and to a Certain Tract or parcel of Land called Cheneys third begining Lying and being in the County and province aforesaid begining at two Bounded White Oaks and one Bounded Red oak and Running Thence North Thirty Eight Degrees and one half Degree west forty Eight perches then North forty six Degrees west Twenty two perches Then North Sixty Eight Degrees west thirty Eight perches then North Six Degrees west Ninety perches then North twenty Seven Degrees and one half Degree west Eight perches then North thirty Nine Degrees East Sixteen perches then North fourteen Degrees west forty perches then East Eighteen perches then South Six (Degrees) |
