October 31.st 1765 Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within mentioned George Scott & acknowledged the within Lands to be the Right & Property of the within named John Breshears & his Heirs Acknowledged before Jn.o Brice Received the 31.st October 1765 of John Brashears son of John Seven shillings and four pence half penny sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within Land and by virtue of a commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General John Davidson Recorded 31.st October 1765 8 s.ds Examined This Indenture made this thirty first Day of October Seventeen hundred and sixty five Between John Breshe^a^rs of Prince Georges County Planter of the one Part and the Honourable Benedict Calvert of said County Esquire of the other Part witnesseth that the said John Breshears for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty Pounds fifteen shillings current money in Hand paid by the said Benedict Calvert the Receipt whereof the said John Brashears doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold and by these Presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said Benedict Calvert and his heirs an undivided moiety of all that Parcell of Land being part of the several Tracts of Cuckolds Delight Gleanings Leavings and Letchworth lying scituate and being in Prince Georges County which Moiety is next adjoining to Swansons Lott & included the dwelling house & plantation of s.d John Breashears which said Parcell of Land was sold upon a venditioni exponas to the said John Breshears containing one hundred and eighty four acres with the appurtenances and all Edifices Buildings and Improvements whatsoever to the hereby bargained and sold Premisses and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profits thereof and all the Estate Right Title and Interest Use Trust Property Claim and Demand of him the said John Breshears to the said hereby bargained & sold undivided moiety of the Parcell of Land aforesaid to have and to hold the said undivided moiety to the said Benedict Calvert and his heirs and to and for the only proper use and Behoof of the said Benedict Calvert his heirs and assigns for ever and to and for no other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In witness whereof the Parties hereto have interchangeably set their hands and affixed their seals (the) |
