in the whole one hundred and eighty four acres And whereas a writ of Venditioni Exponas afterwards to wit on the first Day of February Seventeen hundred and sixty five issued out of the said Provincial Court directed to George Scott Esq Sheriff of Prince Georges County commanding him to expose to sale the Lands aforesaid in the Schedule aforesaid annexed to the writ aforesaid which were Part of the several Tracts of Land which writ was returnable the Second Tuesday of the then next April on which said Second Tuesday of April the said George Scott made return of the said writ that he by virtue of the said writ to him Directed and in Pursuance of an act of assembly of this Province publickly advertised the aforesaid Lands and that the said John Breshears did buy the same as the highest Bidder for the sum of one hundred and sixty one Pounds ten shillings Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said George Scott for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty one Pounds ten shillings current money in hand paid the Receipt whereof the said George Scott doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these Presents doth grant bargain and sell unto him the said John Breshears & his heirs all that Parcell of Land being part of the several Tracts of Land called Cuckolds Delight Part of Gleaning Leavings and Letchworth lying situate & being in Prince Georges County aforesaid with the appurtenances containing one hundred ^and eighty four^ acres and all Buildings & Improvements whatsoever to the said Parcell of Land appertaining & belonging and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents isses & Profits and all the Right Title and Interest of the said George Scott to the said bargained & sold Premisses to have and to hold the said Parcell of Land with the appurtenances unto him the said John Breshears and his heirs to and for the use of him the said John Breshears & his heirs forever and for no other uses Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the Parties hereto have interchangeably set their hands and affixed their seals the Day and year above written Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of G Scott (seal) Jn.o Brice R.d Henderson On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus written Viz.t October 31.st 1765 Received of the within mentioned John Breshears the Sum of one hundred and sixty one Pounds ten Shillings Current Money being the Consideration money for the within bargained and sold Lands Witnesses Jn.o Brice G Scott R.d Henderson (October |
