(100) to him the said Anthony Stewart his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and Behoof of him the said Anthony Stewart his Heirs and Assigns for ever & to and for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever And the said William Strachan for himself his heirs Ex.rs and administrators doth hereby Covenant and Grant for to and with the said Anthony Stewart His Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns in manner and form following that is to say that he the said William Strachan & his heirs the said Tracts of Land and premisses with the appurtenances and every of them from and against him the said William Strachan and his heirs and all persons lawfully claiming by from or under him them or any of them to him the said Anthony Stewart his Heirs and Assigns shall and will for ever hereafter warrant and Defend and further that he the said William Strachan and his heirs shall and will at any time or times hereafter at the Reasonable request cost and charges of him the said Anthony Stewart his heirs or assigns make do Acknowledge Suffer Levy and Execute all such further and other reasonable act Deed or Assurance whatsoever as he the said Anthony Stewart his heirs or Assigns or his or their council learned in the Law Shall devise advise or require for the more effectuall Assurance and Conveyance of the said Tracts of Land and premisses with the appurtenances In Witness Whereof the Parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably Set their hands and affixed their seals the Day & Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of Thomas Richardson W.m Strachan (Seal) James Dundass On the Back of the Deed was thus written viz.t Received from Anthony Stewart Fifty Pounds Pensilvania Currency it being the Consideration of the within bargain'd Land and Premisses Witness Thomas Richardson W.m Strachan James Dundass August 17.th 1765 Then Came before em one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court William Strachan who acknowledged the the within Instrument of be the Estate of Title of Anthony Stewart according to the true intent and meaning thereof and conformable to the act of assembly in such case made and Provided at the same time came also before me Mary Strachan the wife of the said William Strachan and being by me privately examined a part from and out of the Hearing of her said Husband did release all her Right Title & Interest of dower of and into the Land within mentioned to be bargained and sold to the within mentioned Anthony Stewart his heirs and assigns and did at the same Time declare that she made this her acknowledgement and Release voluntarily and freely without being induced thereto by fears or threats of or ill usage from (her |
