(9) On the Back of the aforegoing indenture was thus Written On the Thirteenth Day of April 1762 Came the within Named Joseph Cromwell before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the provincial court of Maryland and acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and all his Right & Title to the right & Title of the within Named William Cromwell Ruth Gill, Dinah Wells, Hannah Cromwell, Patience Cromwell & Philemon Cromwell their Heirs & Assigns for ever according to y.e true Intent & Meaning of the Within Deed John Brice Received this Ninth day of April 1762 of William Cromwell Ruth Gill, Dinah Wells, Hannah Cromwell, Patience Cromwell & Philemon Cromwell, six shillings Current Money being y.e Consideration Money Mentioned in the Within Deed as Witness my hand Test Jos Cromwell sen.r Samuel Owings 1762 April 13.th Received of William Cromwell, Ruth Gill Dinah Wells, Hannah Cromwell, Patience Cromwell and Philemon Cromwell five shillings and five Pence sterling for the use of the Lord Bestimore being the Alienation Fine on the Within Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver general Benj Beall Recorded the 13.th April 1762 8 sides |
