On the Back of the foregoing Power of Attorney was
        thus written

        July 19.^th 1762  Came before me the subscriber one of
        his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County
        William Steuart one of the subscribing Witnesses to the
        within Power of Attorney and made Oath on the Holy
        Evangels of Almighty God that he was present at the
        Execution of the within Power of Attorney and did see
        the within named Richard Pearis sign seal and
        as his Act and Deed deliver the same to and for the
        purposes & uses therein mentioned, and further made
        Oath that Richard Murray the other subscribing
        Witness was also present at the Execution of the
        within Power of Attorney and subscribed his Name
        as a Witness thereto in this Deponents presence
        sworn to before

Exam        This Indenture made this sixteenth
        day of April in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand
        seven hundred and sixty two, Between
        Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson; surviving
        Assignees of John Philpot and John
        Hutchinson late of London Bankrupts of the one
        part, and James Dick of Ann Arundel County
        in the province of Maryland Merchant of the other
