(385) On the Nineteenth day of April 1763 the within mentioned John Stone Hawkins, William Magruder and Mary his Wife personally appeared before us the subscribers two of his Lordships the Lord Proprietary's Justices of the County of Prince Georges and did severally acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be their act and Deed to and for the uses intents and purposes within mentioned and the part of the Tract of Land in the same Writing mentioned and premisses with the appurtenances to be the right and Estate of him the said George Frazier his Heirs and assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning of the same deed And at the same Time the aforesaid Mary being Examined by us privately out of the hearing of her said Husband did declare that she freely executed the within Writing and made the said acknowledgment as above wittingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fears or threats of or ill usage by her Husband or fear of his displeasure Nath Magruder David Craufurd 13 s.d Recorded the 26.th day of April 1763 Examd This Indenture made this Eigth day of April in the Year seventeen hundred and sixty three Between George Frazier Magruder of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and George Frazier of the same County and Province Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said George Frazier Magruder for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings sterling Money to him the said George Frazier Magruder in hand by the said George Frazier before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents paid the receipt whereof the said George Frazier Magruder doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and Therefrom doth acquit and discharge the said George Frazier |
