373 On the Twenty second day of March 1763 Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices the within named Ignatius Wheeler and Elizabeth his Wife, William Thomas and John Rogers and did severally acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be their respective act and Deed to and for the Uses Intents and Purposes within mentioned and the Land and Premisses therein Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the said William Thomas his Heirs and assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning of the same Deed And at the same Time the aforesaid Elizabeth being Examined by us privately out of the hearing of her said Husband did declare that she freely Executed the within Writing and made her said acknowledgment thereof as above wittingly and freely and without being induced thereto by fears or threats of or Ill Usage by her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure acknowledged and declared respectively as above before Geo Steuart Recorded the 21.st day of April 1763 13 s.d Examd This Indenture made this Twenty first day of March in the Year seventeen hundred and sixty three Between Edward Day of Baltimore County planter of the one part and Joseph Ensor of the same County planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Edward Day for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings sterling Money to him in hand paid by the said Joseph Ensor at or before the sealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents Doth grant bargain and sell unto him the said Joseph his Executors administrators & assigns All |
